The cedar smell is subtle but nice, and the block actually keeps my soap from sitting in a puddle of water. It’s been over three weeks now and the bar still feels solid, which is way better than the slimy mess I used to deal with.
My bar used to turn to mush in a week, but on this cedar block it's held its shape for over two weeks now, and the wood grain actually grips the soap so it doesn't slide around. The natural cedar smell is a nice bonus that doesn't clash with the soap itself.
